Fergie - Owen Eager to Shine

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has spoken about Owen Hargreaves for the first time since he joined fierce local rivals Manchester City, claiming he is 'desperate to get somewhere'.

Hargreaves spent four years at Old Trafford after joining for £17million from Bayern Munich in 2007.
However, the midfielder's United career was plagued by injury and he only managed 39 appearances for Ferguson's side.
The club decided earlier this year not to offer him a new deal and the 30-year-old has since signed at neighbours City on a free transfer.
Ferguson said of the former England international: "The boy is desperate to get somewhere.
"You train to be a footballer all your life and you want to make sure you have a good career.
"Unfortunately for us, he didn't play enough football. These things can happen."
