Chelsea midfielder Yossi Benayoun wants to sign permanently for Arsenal.
The Israeli is currently on a season-long loan with the Gunners.
He told Arsenal Player: "Of course, I think any player would want to do that. But, for me, the main thing is concentrating on having a good season and trying to take this opportunity with both hands. I’m sure, if I do well, the connection will continue together.
"In some countries 31 is a bit old but in England it is the height of your career and you still have lot of years in front of you. Look at Lampard and Gerrard who are about the same age."

Redknapp: Was delighted to see Sandro had penned a deal at Spurs, despite admitting not knowing about it
Harry Redknapp has admitted he had no idea Sandro had penned a new deal with Tottenham Hotspur until he saw it on Sky Sports News.
The Spurs chief was delighted to see the Brazilian midfielder had signed a five-year deal at White Hart Lane particularly after attracting a lot of attention from the likes of Barcelona and Roma.
But Redknapp has revealed the first he knew about the 22-year-old's long-term contract was when it was being announced on television.
"I was pleased to see that on Sky Sports News. It was good," admitted the 64-year-old.
"I never had a clue. I was pleased to see it but I didn't know anything about it."
It was in fact chairman Daniel Levy who negotiated the terms to keep the former Internacional star and Redknapp has been more than happy to step back from such talks.
"I don't get involved in that really," he said. "The chairman deals with that.
"Managers don't get involved anymore in negotiations. It's been like that for years and years, which is fine.

De Gea: New United goalkeeper has had some shaky moments this season
Bolton boss Owen Coyle has no plans to target goalkeeper David de Gea as he looks for a way to defeat Manchester United on Saturday evening.
Sir Alex Ferguson's side have started the season in impressive fashion, hammering Arsenal 8-2 in their last outing to make it three wins from the opening three fixtures of their Premier League title defence.
If they have looked uncertain in any position, it is in goal, where Spanish youngster De Gea, signed over the summer as a replacement for the retired Edwin van der Sar, has looked shaky at times.
The 20-year-old saved a penalty against the Gunners, though, and Coyle is certainly not thinking Bolton might have an easy task getting past him.
The Scot does, however, feel Wanderers - who led United twice at home last term in an eventual 2-2 draw - have it in them to pull off a victory when the two sides meet again at the Reebok Stadium.
"David de Gea is a top goalkeeper - there is no doubt about it," Coyle said.
"With Manchester United, it is difficult to find any weaknesses, but my focus will be on making sure my group are at their best."

Hargreaves spent four years at Old Trafford after joining for £17million from Bayern Munich in 2007.

The Gunners were uncharacteristically busy in the closing days of the summer transfer window and it has been suggested the business in the permanent and loan markets was a result of the infamous 8-2 hammering at Old Trafford.
But Wenger is adamant the deals were in order to strategically compensate for the departures of the likes of Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri, Nicklas Bendtner and Armand Traore, while also covering the injuries to Jack Wilshere, Abou Diaby and Thomas Vermaelen.
In his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday's game against Swansea at Emirates Stadium, the Arsenal boss said: "Some of the transfers were linked with players going out like Santos and Park because I knew Bendtner and Traore would go out.
"We were not close to signing anybody else. We had other targets but I was never close. Five transfers in the last four days, I must tell you we were busy enough!"

AVB targets Manchester clubs
Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas says his aim is to 'grab' the two Manchester clubs after their impressive starts to the Premier League season.
Manchester United and Manchester City are the only top-flight sides to have won each of their opening three games this season.
Between them, Sir Alex Ferguson and Robert Mancini's sides have scored a total of 25 goals - an average of over four goals per game.
Chelsea are only two points behind but have found it difficult to beat West Brom and Norwich in their two home games after drawing a blank in a stalemate at Stoke on the opening day of the campaign.
But Villas-Boas is excited about the competition that his side will face this season from the leading clubs in the division.
He said: "It's good for them. They've gone on to score a lot of goals and it's good for British football.
"We just hope to score one more goal than the opponents.
"Man United played to perfection and managed to score a lot. They are, with Man City, leading the table for the Premier League and we are two behind them.
"We want to grab them.
"Our objective is on shortening distance and not on what the others do in terms of performance."
The Blues travel to Sunderland in the Premier League this Saturday and Villas-Boas is looking for an improvement from his side.
He said: "I think it can be better and our objective is to transform it.
"We have to improve on a weekly basis, on a game-to-game basis. It's what people expect from us - to get fluency in the way we play.

It seems Ashley Young has lost form. He had to be substituted in Manchester United Fc's loss to Basel. I personally think he needs to gym more and put on some muscle. Valencia has surely done that
Ashley Young has really been an inspirational signing for Manchester United. He really fitted into the system faster than any of us might have thought he would. Manchester United 8 Arsenal 2 Who would have dreamt up that number? He seems frail and small but his impact on the squad is astounding. I doubt that Ryan Giggs would be able to compete with him for a starting place. The veteran may have to hang up his boots for the younger generation of Ashley Young's etc. Nani seems to be misfiring- he missed many opportunities in the Arsenal. So who can stop Manchester United this season? My prediction is only Liverpool. Yes- Only Liverpool. While Man City are good Manchester United will play all the better against them. Man U have a bigger rivalry with Liverpool. Man City are noisy neighbours. Go Ashley Young Go.

Before Ronaldinho signed with Flamengo Blackburn Rovers announced that they were trying to sign him. It was laughable to think that Ronaldinho would go to Blackburn. Now they continue to make us laugh by trying to sign Raul. Blackburn apparently has no respect for such players and none for themselves. Such big names players are trying to finish their footballing career on a high at a club of some prestige. Prestige is the name of the game in football and it is unthinkable that they would join Blackburn Rovers Football Club of such low prestige. The people running the club obviously do not know their place in the footballing world or are trying to change it in the wrong ways. Players are very conscious of how they will be remembered and how people will talk about them. And if I know this and Blackburn doesn't then they really just don't have any respect for such players; players which have a large fan base all arounnd the world. Then again let me try to think about things from their point of view. If they hadn't made those inquiries about the big players then I certainly wouldn't be blogging about them right now. Maybe it's just a smart way to get publicity and the clubs owners do have great ambition for the football club. What they need to do is realize that they must act while thinking about how people will react. And people are reacting by laughing at them.
